Some Kind of Sabbatical

Well, that was some kind of break I took there from the blog. But don't I have the perfect excuse? Summer. The Bambino. The Bambina.

The Bambino, aka "Mommono" (more on that later) is turning out to be quite the character, the perfect little Gemini if I do say so myself. Happy. Then...Sad. Angry. Then...Sleepy? Oh well, every day's an adventure.

And the Bambina, now a "Senior" in her kindergarten class, is just so happy to have some semblance of a routine again. She was a trooper all summer, but she's already been asking me to make sure I book her a spot in summer camp for next year.

What's kept me sane is being able to continue my editorial work at Literary Mama (okay, Cassie's column went on holiday, but not Ericka and Ona's) and also some poetry submissions/requests. It's kind of cool when they come looking for you, not the other way around.

I hope the next break isn't this long. Thanks for continuing to check in, especially A.
